One part handmade, the rest still real
Every pair below was made with the same studio you can use: one photo, one chosen part, one medium. Nothing was retouched afterwards, and you can open the guide for each medium to see what it is, which photos suit it and how to get a good result.
Embroidery · Origami · Needle felt · Pixel art · Linocut · Clay · Voxel · Low poly · Cel animation · Halftone comic · Watercolor · Impasto · Layered paper · Soft 3D · Stained glass
How these examples were made
We do not publish anyone’s photos: pictures uploaded to hueflo stay private to the account that uploaded them. So the source photos here were generated from text descriptions, written to look like ordinary phone pictures of pets and people, and then edited through the normal hueflo pipeline with the same recipes, review and price as any customer edit.
Each result was checked against its original by eye. Pairs where the medium leaked outside the chosen part, or where the subject stopped looking like itself, were thrown away rather than retouched. Those failures shaped the advice in the guides: watercolor and impasto, for example, are shown as backgrounds because painting the pet itself spread paint into the scene, and an ink wash medium was removed from the product after twelve test edits in a row spread wash outside their target.
Embroidery
The part you pick is rebuilt from raised thread: dense satin-stitch color fields and stitched contours that follow the original shapes. Embroidery guide
Origami
The part you pick becomes a folded-paper sculpture: large angular paper planes, crisp creases and folded flaps in the colors of the original. Origami guide
Needle felt
The part you pick becomes a handmade needle-felt sculpture: rounded wool masses, fuzzy fibers and broad patches of felt color, lit the same way as the original photo. Needle felt guide
Pixel art
The part you pick is rebuilt as two-dimensional pixel art on a consistent square grid, with a small palette taken from the photo and stepped outlines. The surroundings keep their full photographic detail. Pixel art guide
Linocut
The part you pick is redrawn as a relief print: broad solid areas of ink, carved-looking cuts and directional hatching in a small palette. Linocut guide
Clay
The part you pick becomes a stop-motion style clay figure: simplified rounded shapes, molded parts and visible tool marks, sitting in the real scene. Clay guide
Voxel
The part you pick is rebuilt from visible 3D cubes, with stepped edges, distinct cube faces and a limited palette taken from the photo. Voxel guide
Low poly
The part you pick is rebuilt as a low-polygon 3D model with large flat-shaded faces and an angular silhouette, lit like the original photo. Low poly guide
Cel animation
The part you pick is redrawn as two-dimensional cel animation: confident ink lines, large flat color shapes and two or three shadow bands. Recognizable features and main clothing colors are kept. It is a redraw, not a beauty filter. Cel animation guide
Halftone comic
The part you pick is redrawn as a printed comic illustration: thick ink contours, flat limited colors and visible halftone dots in the shadows. Features, expression and clothing stay recognizable. Halftone comic guide
Watercolor
Broad washes, pigment blooms, granulation and dry-brush edges replace the fine photographic detail of the part you pick. The layout and the main colors of the scene stay as they were. Watercolor guide
Impasto
The part you pick is repainted in thick impasto: palette-knife slabs, raised ridges of paint and large simplified areas of color. Impasto guide
Layered paper
The part you pick is rebuilt from separate layers of cut colored paper, with crisp silhouettes, visible sheet thickness and shallow shadows between the layers. Layered paper guide
Soft 3D
The part you pick is rebuilt as a cartoon CGI character or object: simplified sculpted forms, grouped hair, smooth matte surfaces and soft animated shading. Soft 3D guide
Stained glass
The part you pick becomes stained glass: large cells of colored glass joined by thick dark seams, with a rippled glass surface. Stained glass guide
